In Albuquerque NM i have an American Tower site on my property with a prepaid lease for 50 years it requires special use zoning. My special use zoning expired after 15 years I applied for renewal of the zoning but it was denied because the tower company had not closed some of its construction papers now the county is requesting the tower be removed due to lack of proper zoning. Am i obligated to return to zoning to try and special use zone the property again or should i ask american tower to remove its tower or should i ask for compensation to go back and try and resolve the zoning issue after it has expired.
