Our church has a cell tower antenna from T-Mobile. I have been receiving offers for lease buyout. I was wondering if I could just go straight to T-Mobile and ask them to buy out the entire term of our lease?
Of course you can ask the carrier. But still the highest bidder will win. Right.
Most of the lease buyers are resellers of these leases. They basically buy at a lower price from us and resell to the tower operators. Few like Crown castle and American tower, along with a few others operate these towers and maintain the equipment. They may offer the most. My highest offer right now is from Crown Castle. I have yet to counter.
Search for recent purchases by Crown Castle. You may see some familiar names that have contacted you to buy your lease.
Buy the way, your lease may be a candidate for a 1031 tax deferred exchange.
