Lease Amendments for additional facilities

by Graham
(Corte Madera CA)

Our agency (local water district) has been approached by Crown Castle, on behalf of Sprint/Nextel, to negotiate a lease amendment for 8 additional antennas (3 panel antennas, 2 microwave dishes, 3 remote radio units).

We are currently leasing three corners of a small tank site to three different carriers. We charge $45,000 per carrier for each corner, regardless of the number of antennas.

If the type of facilities required by the carriers is changing, how do we price the rent for the additional equipment?
