I initially leased by property to BellSouth who turned into AT&T and the check I receive monthly is from AT&T, so why is Crown Castle negotiating the extension of my current lease, which is set to end 2021? Why isn't AT&T negotiating with me? Thanks in advance.
Did Crown Castle purchase the tower from AT&T? If not maybe they have some sort of management contract to manage this tower for AT&T.
Give us a call and maybe we could figure out what is going on after we ask you a few specific questions. I would be cautious trying to negotiate these types of deals yourself. In most cases where a landlord tries to handle these deals on their own they end up leaving a large sum of money on the table. The carriers are also slipping language into deals where it looks innocent enough but could have a huge impact on the deal down the road.
