Insurance and indemnification

by Chris
(Morristown TN USA)

Our proposed lease to Verizon has requirement that we carry a million dollar commercial general liability policy. It also has multiple indemnification clauses that are both confusing and troubling. How common are these in Verizon or ANY lease ?

Tower insurance
by: John Linzee

I was told Verizon would accept an umbrella policy, I assume on my homeowners policy. Farmers says they will cover liability but not insure the facility. I'm still trying to get straight what will be covered and to what limits.

All Verizon leases contain that language.

Chris call us for assistance. Verizon has very stringent insurance requirements. Other carriers and tower companies with the exception of US Cellular don't have that requirement that you carry insurance.
